Introduction
Released in 1998, the Gameboy Color was by far not the first color handheld, but it was a very affordable one and another strong point was that it was fully backwards compatible with the original Gameboy providing it with a huge installed games library.

Serial Communications Rate: Up to 512k bit per second.
The GBC’s communications port can be used for several multiplayer games as well as communication witht he gameboy printer.
Most color games can also be played on an old model Gameboy, but some can’t. The games that use the 32kb expanded RAM, the extra processing speed and graphical capabilities are not compatible
